LON-OPT - PC Interface Card

Purposes

The card is built on a Echelon processor Neuron 3150 and Fiber Optic LonWorks Standard Modular Transceiver DFOM/1250 75000-5. It performs intelligent connection of a PC based Operator Station and the LonWorks fiber optic network. This card is recognized as a node on the network. The Card is installed on a ISA slot. Bidirectional exchange of information is possible on the basis of IRQ or polling procedure. The information is stored in a dual-port FIFO 8KB memory.

Supports 1.25Mb/s throughtput with larg fiber optic node count (750+) and over long distances.
Up to 30km single links without repeaters
